On the 12th August, Chevron Australia on behalf of the Gorgon Joint Venturers co-hosted a Supplier Briefing with ICNWA. This event was attended by over 230 people representing over 100 suppliers from all over Australia.
There were speeches and presentations from General Manager for the Greater Gorgon Area, Colin Beckett, Gorgon Project Development Director W. Scott Young and Director of Perth Operations from Kellogg Joint Venture, Rick Robinson.

Perth, Western Australia, 10th October 2007 - CThe Gorgon Joint Venture Participants - Chevron, ExxonMobil and Shell - today welcomed a further step forward for the Gorgon Project.
Perth, Western Australia, 7th September 2007 - Chevron Australia as operator for the Gorgon Project today received advice from the West Australian Minister for the Environment, that he had issued state environmental conditions for the Gorgon Project.
Perth, 4th September 2007 - Shell Eastern LNG (Shell) and PetroChina International Company Limited (PetroChina) have concluded a binding Heads of Agreement (HOA) for the long-term supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) with the primary source being the Gorgon project in Western Australia. The HOA constitutes a milestone in the development of LNG supplies to China.
SAN RAMON, Calif., Feb. 19, 2007 - Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) today announced that its subsidiary Chevron Australia Pty Ltd has been awarded the exploration rights to acreage in the highly prospective Greater Gorgon Area located off the northwest coast of Australia.

SAN RAMON, Calif., Dec 11, 2006 - Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) today confirmed that Western Australia's environment minister has cleared the way for environmental approval to be granted to the Gorgon project subject to conditions.
The Western Australian Government has effectively given the green light to the massive Gorgon gas project, after setting a raft of tough new environmental conditions.
SAN RAMON, Calif., June 6, 2006 - Today the Western Australian Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) released its advisory bulletin on the Gorgon project's Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Review and Management Plan (EIS/ERMP).
Colin Beckett, General Manager, Greater Gorgon Area, yesterday presented to 220 attendees at the International Business Council of Western Australia regarding the challenges and opportunities for the Gorgon Project during 2006.
On 18th January 2006, Hazira LNG Private Ltd. (an LNG terminal company, in which Shell holds 74 per cent interest and Total holds 26 per cent interest), signed a preliminary agreement with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (a government of Gujarat company engaged in exploration & production, and marketing & trading of natural gas), laying out the principles for long term and short term LNG supplies through the Hazira terminal. The agreement envisages long-term supplies of up to 0.5mtpa from the Gorgon LNG project in Australia, or other sources, potentially commencing from 2010, and up to a further 1.5mtpa from any suitable source, potentially also commencing in 2010.
